Amadeus Selling Platform Connect (SECO)
Amadeus Selling Platform Connect is a GDS system that BookingBuilder can interact with. SECO's user interface is hosted in a web browser, at https://www.sellingplatformconnect.amadeus.com/ . System differences mean that some can use Amadeus in Edge with BookingBuilder 437 and older, but it is technically supposed to be Google Chrome. For 438 and newer, the same applies, but if others don't work it must be the BookingBuilder Browser.
Installing BookingBuilder will also add the Amadeus Smart Scripting Bridge (which is how the applications interface).
Work areas are called Command Pages- you can only officially use BookingBuilder with Command Page 1. That said, some users find they can use more than one.
Set Amadeus up in BookingBuilder Browser
- Double click the BB Browser icon near the clock.
- Right click on the BookingBuilder Browser button on your taskbar, and select Pin to Taskbar. This way, you can click it to sign into Amadeus more easily.
- The browser will be open to the home page.
- Copy this text: https://www.sellingplatformconnect.amadeus.com/
- In the BookingBuilder Browser, click in the address bar at the top, and it will highlight the text.
- Paste https://www.sellingplatformconnect.amadeus.com/ into the box and hit Enter.
- You will find yourself on the login page for Amadeus.
- Click the Favorite button on the upper right of the BookingBuilder Browser.
- You should now see a button that will get you to Amadeus next time, on the upper right.
If you don't, click on the hamburger menu (...) on the upper right. Select Bookmarks, and then Show Bookmarks Bar. - If you have Amadeus open in Chrome or Edge, you can sign out. That will let you copy/paste the settings into the BookingBuilder Browser. Sign in..
- Right click the BB icon and choose Restart this Application. It should turn green and start working.
Troubleshooting Amadeus/BB
Most of the time, the issue is that the Smart Scripting Bridge interface isn't running. It starts with the computer, but it may have failed or crashed since.
- Go to Start, or otherwise browse your applications, and find the Amadeus Smart Scripting Bridge folder.
- Click Launch Smart Scripting Bridge.
- Close Amadeus completely, then sign back in.
If this happens chronically, it is time to reach out to BookingBuilder support.
