Installing BookingBuilder

To install BookingBuilder, you will need to download the software, close some programs, and check on some settings. 

1. Download a copy of BookingBuilder- there are a couple of ways.
    
   1. You can get the installer by signing in to the BB administration website, then clicking the name appropriate BB Group on the right...

      Then click on the Installation Link

      That will make a BB installer file that contains the registration code in the file name- that is how BB will know what Group to be in. Registration codes are also called Quick Links.

   2. If you don't have a sign in for that site, or you are upgrading, you can get a copy without a Group code here. If it asks you if you want to run or save the file, choose Save. We may need to give it a Registration/Quick Link code later. That is just to the right of the Installation Link on the site, or you can ask BookingBuilder Support for it.

2. Close any open GDS such as Amadeus, Travelport +, Sabre, Smartpoint, or Worldspan.
    
3. Double click on the BB installer file you downloaded.  If you get a pop up asking for a username and password, we will need your IT to help. Otherwise, click Yes when it asks you to make changes.
    
4. Close any open GDS such as Amadeus, Sabre, Smartpoint/Travelport +, or Worldspan.
    
5. Double click on the BookingBuilder installation file you downloaded (BBDotNetSetupBuild....).  If you get a pop up asking for a username and password, you will need your IT to help.
    
6. You may  get a popup error message telling you that you need the .Net Framework to be installed. If so, skip ahead to step 14.  If you don't get that popup...
   
   
    
7. Click Close Browsers.

8. Click through the installer.
   
   
    
9. BookingBuilder will start when you click Finish.
    
10. It might pop this up- fill in the 'Do not show...' checkbox and click Enable.
    
    
     
11. BookingBuilder will download updates after it starts (the icon will turn red while that is happening).
     
12. When it gets done updating, BookingBuilder should automatically restart.

14. If you get a popup telling you that you need .NET, click No.
    
    
     
15. Click Finish on the BookingBuilder screen that pops up.
    
    
     
16. Go to your Windows search bar on the lower left of your screen, and enter Turn Windows Features on and Off. Click on the result.
     
17. Fill in the checkbox next to .Net Framework 3.5 and click OK.
    
    
     
18. Click Let Windows Update Download the Files For You. It might take a long time- that is normal.
    
    
19. Once that process is complete, go to step 5 and continue.
