Clicking on the Create/Edit Reports link brings you to a page that lets you do just that, providing data on Genie prompt usage, as well as VPP activity.
Reports are listed in table format. Clicking the New Report button on the lower left will take you to a page to configure it.
- First you must choose the Report Type:
- Prompt Action Detail will show things down to the level of each computer, and how many times an individual interacted with a prompt.
- Prompt Action Summary is for how many times a prompt was interacted with overall.
- VPP provides information on Virtual Payment Processing, if that is in use- down to the level of individual computers.
- Name the report.
- Enter the email addresses you want the report to go to, separating with ; if needed.
- Schedule it. If this isn't done, the report will be 'Preview Only', which means it isn't going to generate automatically. You can still preview it with the Save and Preview button on the bottom. Sometimes that is all that is needed for small amounts of data.
- Immediately is just what it says- it run when you click Continue
- You can get it on a regular basis with Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, although you must add an email for it to go to.
- Click Continue.
- This is where you pick out the fields you want in the report by dragging them from Available Fields to Selected Fields. You can drag them up and down to determine the order.
- The Conditions section at the bottom will act as the filter.
- First, use the left most drop down to select an item. The available items depend on the report type.
- The middle drop down will contain an evaluation of some kind, again depending on report type. Is, Is Not, = etc. If the selected item supports it, you can choose In a List or Not in a List, and the fields for the list items will appear.
- The right most field is what is being evaluated against- does the computer ID = what is in this box, or the prompt name, etc.
- Add to All means the information included must pass every condition in that top box labeled All of These.
- Add to Any One puts your condition into the And Any One of These box. The information only has to pass one of these conditions to be included in the report.
- You can delete or edit these conditions by clicking on them to highlight them, and using the buttons to the right.
- Cancel backs you out with no changes.
- Save, then Return to Report saves your changes and takes you back to the main report page.
- Save and Preview shows you a sample of what you're going to see on the report.
